Keystone’s history dates back over 30 years and is deeply rooted in the environmental and solid waste management consulting, remediation and construction businesses. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, Keystone’s principals were involved with all facets of the municipal solid waste management business including Greenfield Development, Permitting, Landfill Design and Construction, Design and Construction of Landfill Gas Collection Systems, Construction QA/QC and Landfill Operations.

Based on our collective experience in municipal solid waste management and our belief in the virtues of renewable energy in our country, we formed Keystone in 2002. Since then, we have concentrated our efforts on developing, designing, building and operating landfill gas to energy projects. Keystone builds landfill gas to energy projects both for its own account and on a contract basis.

In February 2010 Keystone and Atlanta based AGL Resources (AGLR) formed a joint venture company, Renewco, LLC. Keystone brings technical expertise and direct landfill methane recovery project experience to Renewco and AGLR brings financial resources as well as pipeline construction, natural gas hedging and other areas important to successful project execution. Renewco’s mission is to develop, finance, design, construct and operate high and medium BTU landfill gas projects and landfill gas to electricity projects anywhere in the continental United States.
